We’re 16,000 strong—16,000 girls and adults from Central/Western Iowa, NE Nebraska and SE South Dakota who believe every girl can change the world.
It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we are proud to be part of a national Girl Scout movement, dedicated to continuing her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passions, and talents.
And with programs from coast to coast and across oceans, there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing.
We’re the Girl Scouts. To volunteer, reconnect, donate, or join, visit www.girlscoutsiowa.org.
Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls-all girls-with membership open to girls ages 5-17. In partnership with committed and trained adults (18 years of ages or older), girls develop qualities that will serve them all of their lives-like strong values, a social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Girls served through troops, special interest groups, or as individuals discover fun and friendship while building their leadership skill.
