On behalf of Marshalltown Area United Way, we would like to extend a thank you to all those who made The Cheese Shop of Des Moines Event fun and successful! On Thursday, July 13th, 2023, CJ Bienert, the cheese monger from The Cheese Shop of Des Moines, brought his expertise to Marshalltown to share unique cheese pairings. CJ is a bona fide cheese expert and explained what gives each cheese its properties, the regions where it is produced and all sorts of other interesting information. Guests were welcomed by Janet Collison playing the harp, enjoyed a beverage in the entrance of The MACC and then began the interactive experience with CJ. Our first event with the Cheese Shop of Des Moines was successful and raised approximately $2,700 for the 2023-2024 campaign! Thanks so much for your support! United, We Are Stronger
