About us

The Marshalltown Area United Way was established in 1929 under the moniker of Community Chest to raise funds in a united appeal for the operating expenses of community-accepted charitable, health welfare, and character-building agencies.  The Marshalltown Area United Way became affiliated with the United Way of America in 1962.

Our Mission

To provide a mechanism to encourage charitable giving and facilitate the distribution of gifts to partner agencies that will enhance the quality of life for all Marshall County residents.
