  • When you choose to give to MAUW, you don't have to decide between helping children, families, seniors, or people in crisis. Your gift addresses the full spectrum of needs in our community.
  • 98.5% of you donation stays local in Marshall County.
  • Yes, you can choose to omit certain agencies or programs by them on your pledge card.
  • 10,000 - 13,000+ are positively impacted each year by your generosity.
  • Typically, the annual campaign runs from mid-September through the end of December.
  • If goal is not achieved by the end of the year, campaign might be extended into the first week of January.
  • Each year around the beginning to mid-January there is an allocation process.
  • Prior to allocations, MAUW board members study their assigned agencies audited budget reports, visit agencies, and review the agency's grants requests and how their programs/ services align with the current needs of the community.
  • Then at allocation each partner agency presents to a panel consisting of MAUW Board of Directors to communicate any changes or barriers they are facing.
  • Board members ask additional questions that require clarification to make certain that funds go where they are needed the most.
  • All United Way supported charities are tax-exempt, not-for-profit health and human service providers, and classified as 501(c)3 by the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Over 70 businesses, including foundations, and 860 employees/individuals contribute financially to support programs.
  • On average, individuals contribute 1,000+ hours of their time and energy.
  • Our three pillars are Education, Health, and Financial Stability.
