Turkey Trot

🦃 Lace Up for a Cause: Marshalltown’s Turkey Trot Returns Thanksgiving Morning!

Skip the traffic and treadmill this Thanksgiving and head to Grimes Farm for a holiday tradition with heart! The Turkey Day 5K/10K Turkey Trot returns on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 8:00 AM, offering fun, fitness, and philanthropy for the whole family.

Hosted by the Marshalltown Area United Way, this community fun run/walk supports over 30 local programs serving Marshall County. Participants can choose between a 5K, 10K, or 1-mile kids' trot, with all proceeds going toward improving health, education, and financial stability in our area.

“Turkey Trot is a great way to start your Thanksgiving,” said Rachel Norton, Events & Marketing Manager. “It’s local, casual, and full of energy. You get some fresh air, support your community, and still make it home in time for pie.”

The event will be held at Grimes Farm, 2359 233rd Street, Marshalltown. The scenic course winds through nature trails, making it an ideal setting for both serious runners and relaxed walkers.
