The Salvation Army Emergency Assistance office helps those with verifiable need in crisis situations. A trained caseworker helps the client with planning, providing information, referrals, food, clothing, rent/utility assistance. Christmas assistance, etc. Kid's at Risk Programs, KAR Summer Rec program, Ladies Club, Men's Club, Chess Club.
The Salvation Army meets human needs-physical and social, intellectual and spiritual-we have programs for each:
- Physical: The Salvation Army can help when there is a verifiable need for food, clothing, emergency lodging, rent or utility payments, prescriptions, etc.
- Social: People need people, and a place to go where they know they belong. Ladies League, Men's Club, Youth activities, Neighborhood Gym activities.
- Intellectual: We believe in helping people see their possibilities and reach their potential, especially in Salvation Army Kids-at-Risk programs-sal's clubhouse and Summer Recreation Program.
- Spiritual: Behind all we do is the compelling love of God.
